I am primarily a self-taught artist. Although art has been a keen interest of mine all my life, I followed other avenues for making a living. I graduated from Rutgers University in 1966 with a degree in Natural Science and eventually taught high school science for 15 years. It was not until 1979 that I began painting professionally, and eventually opened my own gallery in Havana, Florida in October of 2000. I now teach several art classes per week and paint at the window in the Gallery. While most of my work is commissioned portraits, I enjoy painting a wide variety of other subjects as well. |
